Shazam co-founder to deliver keynote at flagship South West tech conference

  • South West Innovation Expo announces Dhiraj Mukherjee as 2021 keynote speaker

 Organisers of SW Innovation Expo today announced Dhiraj Mukherjee, Co-Founder of Shazam and experienced investor in tech start-ups, as the keynote speaker of the region’s flagship technology and business event. SW Innovation Expo will be held at Sandy Park, Exeter on 14th October 2021 bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs and investors for panel discussions, an interactive technology expo, Pitchfest competition and networking opportunities.

Dhiraj Mukherjee is the Co-founder of Shazam Entertainment, the world’s first mobile phone-based music recognition service and is recognised by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s Top 50 technology entrepreneurs. Dhiraj was previously Head of Banking Innovation at Virgin Money, where he was responsible for developing new digital banking services and is now an active angel investor focused on emerging technologies and ‘Tech for Good’.

Dhiraj’s keynote address, sponsored by Michelmores, will focus on his experience of pitching to investors, advice for start-up businesses and entrepreneurs and his insight into emerging technology.

A collaboration between University of Exeter, Falmouth University and University of Plymouth, SW Innovation Expo brings together technology innovators and entrepreneurs with business leaders and investors to share and understand the power of new technology. Taking place on 14th October 2021 the event is focused on demonstrating the cutting edge technical and intellectual innovations that could be transformative for any business.
